Purple Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

I spent some time taking photos in Occoquan, VA on Monday. It was a gorgeous, sunny day and there was color everywhere. Looking through my shots later, I noticed lots of purple! Here are a few of my favorites. Does anyone know what the name of the flower in my first photo is? Is it a type of daisy? A zinnia?? It's so beautiful!

    These are all so gorgeous! Purple is not one of my favorite colors normally, but when it comes to flowers I love it! I think that first flower is the same one that's in my this or that thursday button. I found it in my neighbor's yard and I think she called it a mum. I was sad she didn't plant them again this year. I may have to go see if I can find some to plant myself because they are so pretty. I love how the center looks like a bunch of tiny flowers.
