Deep in their roots all flowers keep the light. ~Theodore Roethke
I really needed a color fix this past week, so I bought some flowers at the grocery store...I've been having fun the last couple of days capturing some indoor images with them. I especially loved the look of these particular flowers on my favorite turquoise ceramic plate. Ah, what a color-filled sight for sore eyes! Spring is almost here...
I agree with you one hundred percent; we all need some color....and your solution was a great one...It's amazing how two flowers and a plate could make such a beautiful shot but I love these colors together.....
Really beautiful, Sherri! :) I can't complain coz we have been enjoying flowers (snowdrops, croci, and now daffodils) since the middle of February. Happy March! :)
I really enjoyed the fact that there was some daylight on my drive into work this morning, before 6 AM. Of course, it snowed here Saturday. But still, I can see spring from here.
Really love these colors together! A great color fix! Funny thing is the photo on my blog;the prompt from Bonnie that did not end up as much vintage as watercolor. Well the flowers I photographed were flowers that I brought home on Valentines Day for myself. They had those apple green mum like things too. I was able to keep those and put them in a dried arrangement I have. I wonder how long they will keep that color!? Thanks for stopping by.xo teri
These are all some of my very favorites because of the colour combo and the simplicity and purity but #3 is to die for! I would love it on my wall! Great stuff, Sherri!
Gorgeous colour combinations and a great balm for my snow-drenched eyes. I also love that crackle texture under the smooth surface of the plate. Lovely choice to showcase those splendid flowers.
