Well, maybe this fly wasn't on the wall...but he was on the sidewalk! For Photo Art Friday this week, we were to use an image with a lot of negative space. I took this photo of a really pretty fly (!) a couple weeks ago. I was standing outside with my camera and spotted him on our front walk. He had an interesting body with some bright yellow and black/white stripes. I added a couple of textures and also finished the image up in Radlab. I really enjoyed working with the negative space - it's almost like a blank canvas for all the textures. Thanks for the great prompt, Bonnie! To see more lovely photo art, click on the button below.

ReplyDeleteGreat editing and I love the title!
ReplyDeleteWell, I know I'm bias, but I could not agree more than negative space can be the 'perfect canvas for textures'! This is amazing editing Sherri! Love the background and the neon shimmer on the insect's back. Thank you for sharing your art with Photo Art Friday.
ReplyDeleteWow! This is super cool.
ReplyDeleteI love this - both the fly and the background! I was photographing our hydrangeas the other day, and it wasn't till I was processing the pictures in Photoshop that I found I had gotten a cool pic of a fly sitting on one of the flowers. Photogenic little fellows!
ReplyDeleteYou really know how to make art out of a simple picture of a fly!
ReplyDeleteIncredible!! Such a wonderful creation!
ReplyDeletestunning!
